Adding P.I.F. Frames

Adding P.I.F. Frames to the Software for P.I.F.

Note:
  • Make sure that the software for P.I.F. is not running before you start EPSON PRINT Image Framer Tool.
  • If you are using PhotoQuicker 3.4 or earlier on Windows XP or Windows 2000, P.I.F. Frames will not be displayed even if you have added them. Use PhotoQuicker 3.5 or later instead.
  • Some of the functions are not available in some areas.

For Windows users:
Click the Start button, point to All Programs (Programs for Windows 98SE/Me/2000 users), and then select EPSON PRINT Image Framer. Select EPSON PRINT Image Framer Tool, and then click EPSON PRINT Image Framer Tool.

For Mac OS X users:
Double-click your startup disk icon on the desktop, the Applications folder, EPSON PRINT Image Framer Tool folder, and then EPSON PRINT Image Framer Tool icon.

EPSON PRINT Image Framer Tool starts.

Select Software for P.I.F. from the Change Destination menu.

Insert the CD-ROM. From the CD-ROM, select ALBUM or FRAME in the LAYOUTS folder of the left window.

P.I.F. Frames that can be added appear in the left-side list.

Note for Windows users:
  • If the Installer starts up when you insert the CD-ROM, close the Installer.
  • You need to map a folder on the network drive before you can select the folder.
  • If you have downloaded P.I.F. Frames from a website, locate the P.I.F. Frames from the folder tree on the left.

Be sure the paper size of the P.I.F. Frames matches the paper size you want to use.

In the second column of the list, you can see the paper size(s) supported by each frame.

Note:
P.I.F. Frames are exclusive for each paper size. Be sure the paper size of the P.I.F. Frames matches your printer before you add them to the software for P.I.F.

Select a P.I.F. Frame that you want to add, and then click or .

Clicking the button moves the selected P.I.F. Frame to the folder of the software for P.I.F. and deletes it from the Add source list.

Clicking the button copies the P.I.F. Frame to the folder of the software for P.I.F.

Note:
  • If you do not log on as an administrator or if you select a P.I.F. Frame from the CD-ROM, the selected P.I.F. Frame may not be deleted from the Add source list even if you click the button.
  • When you select the P.I.F. Frame for a digital camera, using the button is not available (the button is dimmed), but using the button is possible.
  • If your P.I.F. software is PhotoQuicker or Easy Photo Print version 1.2 or earlier, you may need to convert P.I.F. Frames between different file formats. Also, when you add a frame supporting multiple paper sizes, you may need to separate it into frames, each supporting a unique paper size. For details, see File Types of P.I.F. Frames.

Close EPSON PRINT Image Framer Tool.

Start the software for P.I.F.
